Dear All,
Loving Greetings from Chathoth, Mannuthy,Thrissur.
It is indeed a happy occasion for us to realize that the Chathoth Family website has been released officially in the Cyberspace.
The construction of the website and its inauguration are the result the collective efforts of all the concerned, especially those took leads. Thanks be to our Lord and Saviour for all the succor and grace that enabled us to reach the fulfilment of our cherished desire.
I would sincerely thank HG Yuhanon Mar Melitius. Bishop of the Thrissur Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, who blessed us through a vivifying message, to grace the occasion of the Inauguration of the website.
Mrs Annamma George w/o late CI George , the senior-most member of our family, gave us an inspiring message and good wishes for the project and the family members. We all are glad to have her message
On this occasion, we are grateful to everyone concerned for their inputs, involvement, help and assistance rendered throughout the project execution. The guidance and contributions of the Executive members were quite valid and these are acknowledged The Working committee members, especially Abi Abraham, Reji Mathew and Joseph Abraham provided valuable inputs during the execution of the project. Thank you all.
Though the “Glimpses of the Chathoth Family History” was released way back in 2012, the spurt of interest for creating the website on this basis arose ,when several of our people met on the sidelines of the wedding reception of Riyanka d/o Sheela and Mon at Bangalore on 31-01- 2015. It was Alex George who mooted the idea for a website. This was accepted by all and Alex George was nominated as the coordinator. With great dedication and zeal, he did the hard work of effective co -ordination and completed the work well in a short period of 75 days! The Directory compilation, Geni data updating and overseeing the work up to the Inauguration were his contributions! CONGRATULATIONS!
It was Sheila d/o late CI Thomas who facilitated the get-together at Bangalore, which provided the forum for the creation of the website. Considerable impetus for the work came from George Thomas, s/o late CI Thomas through his offer for sponsoring the project.
Alex Abraham did incisive research on the Family History of the formative years in the social milieu of yore and helped me to resolve some anomalies in genealogy. It was he who voluntarily designed the website elegantly with the History, Contacts, Gallery, Geni links and access to social media, at a time when we were planning to entrust the job to a professional Designer. CONGRATULATIONS for the timely interventions !

What an amazing website! Congratulations to Thampichayan, Shibu, and all family members who took the initiative and put in the efforts to create such a website which brings back good times and connects generations by taking us on a walk down the memory lane!!
After reading this wonderfully energizing creation, I became nostalgic for the golden days of my childhood spent with my eldest sister, Jolly Abraham, member of the Chathothu family, Vallamkulam.
Playing with Shibu in the Chathothu yard, Achayan and Amma’s advises, love and care, both gathering mangostein fruits for me during my vacation visits from boarding school, Chathothu house itself-that gave me a complete sense of home at that tender and young age — all these memories came rushing back to me.
May Achayan and Amma’s soul rest in peace along with all others who passed away for heavenly abode!!
Peace and good wishes to all Chathothu family members!!
Jaya, (Thampichayan’s sister-in-law)
Mannakuzhiyil,
Thadiyoor.
