Asha Foundation, translated as ‘Hope’ Foundation is doing pioneering work for HIV patients in India. Asha Foundation is the brainchild of Dr. Glory Alexander.

Our extended family member Dr. Glory, wife of Dr. Alexander Thomas and daughter-in-law of Mrs & Mr. Oommen Thomas, was honored with Dr BC Roy National Award for the year 2010 under the category of ‘Outstanding services in the field of Socio-Medical Relief’  from President Pranab Mukherjee at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 1, 2016 on the occasion of Doctors’ Day.

“This award is for all ASHA workers who have served HIV patients with all their dedication. This award is a victory for all infected patients who fight social stigma and negativity around them,” said Dr Glory.

The Chathoth, Vallamkulam family prayerfully wishes Dr. Glory and Asha Foundation congratulations and best wishes.
